Announcing Warp Preview

We’re excited to introduce Warp Preview: a public early-access program for anyone who wants to explore our newest and most experimental features. By creating Preview as a separate version from our stable build, we can share big ideas sooner—while ensuring you always have a reliable version of Warp to fall back on.
We're also expanding our invite-only Alpha community. Select Warp Preview users will be invited to help shape Warp with qualitative feedback in exchange for unlimited AI
Why Warp Preview?
Early access to experimental features
- Get hands-on with our latest (and experimental) features well before they’re widely available. You’ll see (and help shape) Warp’s newest ideas as they evolve.
Move fast with quicker releases
- We move quickly in Preview, shipping features – and patches – at a faster pace. Because these are live, in-progress features, your bug reports will help us polish them sooner.
Share real-time feedback
- Your input directly impacts Warp’s direction. We want to hear what works, what needs refining, and what you’d love to see next.
How to get Warp Preview
A few steps:
- 1. Visit warp.dev/download-preview to grab Warp Preview for MacOS, Linux, or Windows – on any architecture and distribution where Warp currently runs.
- 2. You can run warp Preview alongside your Stable build of Warp. If a Preview feature isn’t production-ready or impacts your workflow, you can always switch back to the Stable version.
- 3. Head over to our Warp Community Slack to share tips, discuss new features, and provide direct feedback to our engineering and product teams.
Things to note
Less QA, more experimentation
Preview is where we test ideas after internal dogfooding, so expect occasional bugs or incomplete features. We won’t delay Preview releases for extensive QA, so your reports help us course-correct in real time
Login is required for Warp Preview
You’ll need to sign in to use Warp Preview. This helps us gather feedback, quickly diagnose critical issues, and ensure we can reach out if you need support.
Meet the exclusive Alpha group
Warp Alpha is the highest-engagement tier, built on top of Warp Preview. Alpha testers get unlimited AI in exchange for sharing regular, high-quality feedback and participating in discussions. Think of it as a tight-knit community of power users, content creators, and Warp partners helping shape the direction of Warp.
Key points:
- We’ll invite highly engaged users on Warp Preview to join the Alpha group, giving them unlimited AI and direct communication with our internal team.
- Insider insights: Alpha members may see mockups, join product discussions, and attend meetings as features take shape – be ready for a closer look behind the scenes.
- Please note that continued membership in Alpha depends on your engagement. If you stop using Warp Preview or no longer provide feedback, we may remove you from Alpha. Our goal is to keep this community active and collaborative.
